Photo shoot with Álvaro Gutiérrez ^^

Hola.

Aquí estoy de nuevo con más cosillas que mostrar. Para este post he contado con la colaboración del fotógrafo Álvaro Gutiérrez, que ha sido el encargado de hacer estas geniales fotos a mis creaciones.

Álvaro Gutiérrez, fotógrafo con gran inclinación por la fotografía artística, especialmente en áreas temáticas como la fotografía de animales, de moda y erótica, ha desarrollado ya varios proyectos en relación con estos temas.

La idea de participar conmigo en alguna de mis publicaciones surgió a partir de  la propuesta que me hizo Álvaro de realizar una sesión de fotos de moda. Puesto que mi intención era aportar un toque personal a la sesión fotográfica, le planteé realizar las fotografías con creaciones propias.  En cada una de las imágenes se muestran prendas y complementos que he ido confeccionando desde que comencé a hacer trabajos de costura.

Ahora Álvaro se encuentra igualmente trabajando en otros proyectos y tiene pendientes varias exposiciones, entre ellas, una exposición sobre Fotografía de Desnudo y otra exposición de Fotografía en Blanco y Negro.

Aquí os presento el resultado de la combinación de la destreza fotográfica de Álvaro Gutiérrez con mis habilidades en costura. Here I am, back with more stuff to show. For this post I counted on the help of the photographer called Álvaro Gutiérrez, the one who has made these nice pictures to my creations.

Álvaro Gutiérrez, photographer with penchant for artistic photography, specially in topics like animal, fashion and erotic photography, has already developed different projects related to this subjects. 

The idea of working with me in a post came up since Álvaro suggested that we should make a fashion photo session. Since my intention was contribute with my personal touch in that photo session, I proposed to him to make the pictures with my own creations. So in each image, pieces of clothing and accessories that I have been sewing since I started to make sewing works are shown.

Now Álvaro is also working on other projects and have several exhibitions pending, among them, an exhibition about Nudity Photography and another exhibition about Black and White Photography.

Here I present you the results of the combination of Álvaro’s skills in photography with my sewing abilities. Aquí está mi nuevo bordado. Todo partió de un dibujo de una margarita que hice hace muchísimo tiempo, el cual dejé por ahí en alguna carpeta esperando a que llegase la hora de pasarlo a tela... Hace unas semanas lo recuperé y en ello he estado ocupada a ratitos.

Here is my new embroidery. Everything started with a drawing of a daisy that I made long time ago, which I left inside a folder waiting for being sewed in cloth... Some weeks ago I got back that drawing and that's what I've been doing this time.

New embroidery.

El bordado... Siempre había empleado esta técnica para hacer cuadros o decorar mis accesorios, pero nunca había probado a customizar ropa de esta forma. Y... ¡este ha sido el resultado!

Utilicé para ello una camiseta básica e hilo blanco. El bordado es bastante sencillo, a lineas y en un único color, pues decidí comenzar con un dibujo poco cargado para probar cómo se adaptaba a la tela. Más adelante me atreveré con diseños más complejos y combinaciones de distintos colores.

Embroidery... I've always used this technique to create pictures and decorate my accessories, but I've never tried to customize clothes with it. And... Here is the result!

I used for it a basic shirt and white thread. The drawing is very simple, with lines and only one colour, because I decided to start with a non excessively ornate drawing to check how cloth adapts to it. Next time, I will try  to use more complex drawings and different colour combinations.

Tras pasar varias semanas ocupada, aquí estoy de nuevo para mostraros lo último que he podido ir haciendo a ratitos. Ya que viene el calor, he comenzado la temporada haciendo este vestido sin mangas.  En cuanto a ropa, es lo único que he podido hacer en este tiempo. No obstante, he ido haciendo otras cosillas que ya iré subiendo poco a poco ahora que ando más libre.

After several weeks busy, I'm back to show you my last works that I could make in my spare time. Heat weather is here so I started this period with this sleeveless dress. I haven't made more clothes yet, just this dress. However, I have done other stuff that I will post soon, now that I have more time for it.

Let me introduce you to Panda! Panda's face is embroidered with black and pink threads and its body is made with remnant of different cloths.

Last work!

This is one of my last works. The first part of the process was the drawing of a pattern on paper. Then I sewed some figures on cloth based on the drawing I made before.

Trees get dressed, streets and spots in the city embellish theirselves and become full of life with details...

Sometimes you just have to go for a walk, look around and enjoy this kind of delights, that make the moment more pleasant.
